Henry County Library
What is your least favorite thing about magazines….why the price of course! The Henry County Library has your ticket to free magazines and it’s called Zinio! Complete digital copies of your favorite magazines are now available to download for free at the Henry County Library website, www.henrycolib.org. You can choose from over fifty of the most popular magazines on the newsstand. The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and, unlike print format magazines, digital magazines don’t need to be returned to the library and are never overdue.
The service is provided by HCL through Zinio, the world’s largest online magazine subscription service. With the Zinio Magazine service you will be asked to create two accounts. You will setup a HCL-Zinio account to browse our digital magazine collection and you will also need a Zinio.com account to download magazines to a tablet, pc or smartphone. Both of these accounts are free, as are the apps. Zinio works with Windows or Apple computers, as well as many portable devices like the iPad, iPhone, Android tablets and the Kindle Fire! There’s just a little bit of setup involved, but you’ll be reading your favorite magazines in no time.
Zinio is just the latest in a growing number of free Web-based resources offered by the Henry County Library. Topics available to HCL patrons include, electronic books (Mo to Go), continuing education courses (Learning Express and EBSCO Host, which contains Teen Health & Wellness plus Small Engine & Auto Repair Reference centers), genealogy (Ancestry Library and Heritage Quest) and many other useful sites.
We hope you will enjoy using your new Zinio account. Explore new avenues of interest while you continue to read your old favorites. If you have any questions please contact us at 660-885-2612 or toll free at 1-866-CALL HCL.
